For daily maintenance of solid wood furniture, the waxing frequency should be adjusted according to the type of wood, the use environment and the purpose of the furniture, and it is generally recommended to do so every 3-6 months:
If the furniture is made of hardwood (such as ironwood, oak), placed in a dry/frequently used area (such as a dining table, coffee table), it can be applied once every 3 months to enhance wear resistance and moisture resistance;
If cork (such as pine wood) is used, it can be placed in a cool and ventilated non-high-frequency use area (such as wardrobe and decorative cabinet), once every 6 months to avoid the accumulation of wax layer affecting the breathability of the wood;
The core is to observe the surface of the furniture: if it feels astringent and dull, it needs to be waxed in time.
Pay attention to choosing natural wood wax oil / beeswax, avoid industrial wax, wipe off dust before waxing, and wipe off floating wax after application to avoid sticky dust.
